H Clark Distillery – Tennessee Whiskey Trail

H Clark Distillery

H Clark Distillery is creating hand-crafted spirits one small batch at a time. With a passion for quality and craft integrity, we take the finest grains and ingredients and transform them into the ultimate spirits experience. Focusing on quality over quantity, our creations include Tennessee Bourbon, Tennessee Dry Gin, Tennessee Black & Tan Whiskey, and experimental craft spirits occasionally released.

H Clark Distillery crafts its spirits in the old town Granary in the charming and picturesque town of Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, found in southern Williamson County. In August 2014, H Clark Distillery became the first legal distillery in Williamson County in over 100 years, as we craft our spirits 100 gallons at a time in the same building local farmers have used to house grains before loading them on the railroad for sale generations ago. So it’s only fitting that a distillery where you can experience each step from grain to bottle, is now located in the same old building, using locally grown grains to create high quality spirits to share with those in Tennessee and beyond.

Our tour includes the history of distilling in Tennessee, as well as Williamson County. Also included is the history of House Bill 1955, which brought distilling back to Tennessee in 2009. Heath Clark, along with determined entrepreneurs Mike Williams of Collier & McKeel and Derek Bell of Corsair Distillery, were instrumental in the legislative effort. After the tour, visit our Tasting Room, which offers samples of our spirits as well as H Clark Distillery merchandise.

Thompson’s Station, Tennessee is just south of Franklin, and is a continuation of the beautiful scenery and Civil War battlefields. Thompson’s Station Park consists of 35 acres of trails, playground and open space to enjoy. There is a new park, yet to be named, consisting of 200+ acres with planned trails and equestrian use. The town is home to two gourmet restaurants, Circa and Harvest at Homestead Manor.

If you’re in the area, stop by and visit as we work to rebuild a once, and still proud spirits tradition in Williamson County.
