Short Mountain Distillery – Tennessee Whiskey Trail

Short Mountain Distillery

Short Mountain is located on a 400 acre working farm in Cannon County, Tennessee. The facility consists of a production house and restaurant where the tasting room and bottle shop are located.

Visitors are greeted on the distillery porch where they will be informed about the history of liquor making in the region as well as the behind-the-scenes stories of Short Mountain Distillery. The distilling process and organic farming practices are also included in our tour itinerary.

Short Mountain Distillery’s tasting room is home to The Stillhouse Cafe that serves lunch during open hours. Mash-fed beef burgers are on the menu as well as moonshine sauces and deserts that make the dining experience memorable and unique. Each Saturday, visitors may take the moonshine cocktail class after the 11:30 tour. This class teaches the theory of making good cocktails and teaches in detail the ins and outs of four classic cocktails.

Our tasting room has all of our products available through retail stores as well as some that are only available at the distillery. Tasting cocktail flights are available for purchase as well as a full menu of light Southern and American cuisine. Souvenirs and memorabilia are also available in the gift shop.

Short Mountain is close to The Cannon County Arts Center as well as downtown Woodbury where crafts and antiquing are plentiful. Fall Creek Falls State Park offers great hiking and swimming less than an hour away. Center Hill Lake, with its stunning views and lake culture, is also close to the distillery.
